Service Opportunities
We Need Greeters! Please help us at the door! We will have a Greeter training session on Sept 22 and repeated on Sept 29 at 9:15 am. Please feel welcome if you are curious about or want to become involved as a Greeter. If you know of someone else who might be interested in joining us, please bring them along, too! We’ll meet in the lobby for about 20 minutes. Please see Asst. Pastor Fred Stevens.
Voices Assessment Training – When we identify our foundational and secondary leadership voice we also take vital steps toward hearing God’s voice in our conversational walk toward spiritual transformation. We are offering 5 training sessions. I am requesting your response to see how many are interested in investing 7.5 hours (total time) over 5 consecutive Saturdays. Dates to be determined if enough interest. Please let Pastor Craig know by tomorrow (Monday, September 16th) if you would like to be included.
Intercessory Prayer
Passing of Fred Patton – For many years, Mr. Patton was the barber at the Ambassador College Pasadena campus. Please keep his wife, Linda and son, Mark in your prayers at this time.
Prayer update for Norva Kelly – The post-surgery consultation with the doctor showed that five lymph nodes were removed instead of one. Pathology reports on those nodes revealed cancer in all of them. Norva is looking at ongoing treatment. Please pray for a proper diagnosis and treatment regimen and the wisdom to make the best decision for the future.
Continued prayer for our mission fields (1. Northern parish surrounding the Y; 2. Y Board and staff; 3. Y members; 4. City of Monrovia; 5. Church scattered communities of friends, relatives, etc., in our respective circles of influence).
